Principal Engineer, Brose Group
Alex Polonsky is a bilingual engineer with a passion for mobility and technological innovation. Born in Russia and raised in San Francisco, CA, while in Silicon Valley he worked at NASA Ames Research Center assisting in designing next generation waste recycling systems for the space program. In 2011, Alex moved to Detroit to combine his passion for automobiles and technology to develop autonomous vehicles. He is currently an electronics engineer with the Brose Group in Auburn Hills, Michigan. In February of 2017, Alex founded the Detroit Autonomous Vehicle Group (DAVG) where automotive enthusiasts and professionals work on autonomous vehicles and systems. The group currently has over 400 members in the Detroit chapter, over 350 members in the Ann Arbor chapter and 90 members in Ottawa, Canada.
